Interview : Meet the artist behind Birch Berry Farms
Her style is exquisitely unique and very much her own .
It is primitive, whimsical, refreshing and just extremely beautiful .
On her blog ( http://birchberryfarms.blogspot.com/ ) one can tell the passion that Renee
puts into all of her creations .
I asked Renee three questions and these are her responses in her own words .
What would you like others to know of you and your art ?
When I create something, it usually is in my head for a while---milling around until I get it right where I want it---then I put it together---and it is NEVER really what it started to be, back when it was in my head . That typically is like how I am in person---all over the page---like a scribble mark---in between the lines scribble mark .
What advice would you give to another artist ?
I wouldn't give any and only because my art is my own----I respect that other peoples art is their own too----even if they asked me for advice about a particular piece that they are working on---I would still say that I wouldn't do that because then they would feel that their piece was wrong or just wasn't right because I thought it should be this way or maybe that way---ya know what I mean?
Were can others find your art work or get to know more about you?
On my Blog---http://birchberryfarms.blogspot.com/ It has all of my links to where I am selling and all of my information about me---

Prince Peter altered Art
Prince Peter And 4 Fairies On a Fairy Garden
This is an original hand crafted one-of-a-kind mixed media altered art piece . I have signed and dated the tiny art . It is a whimsical piece to be displayed in your home and will delight your heart and soul . The entire fairy garden is atop a small wooden block that is atop one scrabble tile (P3) The entire altered art piece measures a little under 3 1/2 inches tall . The tiny art piece was crafted using some of these embellishments: exotic papers, rhinestones, yarn, glass beads, moss and other tiny treasures . Ther are 2 fairies and 2 butterflies on wire and can be posed as you see fit . The tiny flowers and leaves are of luxuries paper and were hand-cut and colored individually by myself . The charming vintage photo reprints are from my own personal collection and was painted in a multitude of mediums . I try to create each tiny piece as if you just happen to get a glimpse of a fairy garden .

Maeva The Witch And Her Familiar
click on photo to take you to were it will be listing
The dolls are a union of sewing machine and hand stitching and both come signed and dated by me . They will make a beautiful addition to someones home as a display piece . The main doll measures about 16 1/2 inches tall . The smaller doll measures about 6 1/2 inches tall . The two dolls bodies were created using raw silk fabric and each were painted, sanded, stained and painted once more to give the pieces a wonderful vintage look and feel . The bigger doll has extremely fine hand-painted features . They are both dressed in cotton fabric dresses . The bigger dolls' dress is from a vintage girls dress pattern which I have modified to a doll size . The dress of the bigger doll's neckline was embellished with cotton lace . Both dresses are removable . The hair of the small doll is of wool that has been stitched in place . The larger doll's hair is of silk tussah roving that has been hand dyed . Old buttons were used on the two dresses .
